Privacy Policy

What we ask for, why we ask, and what we do with it — in plain language.

The short version: we collect only what you type into a form or the chat, we use it only to reply to you, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

What we collect, and when

We only collect what you type into a form or the chat. There is no account to create, and nothing is collected from you simply for reading these pages.

  • Admission enquiry: the parent or guardian's name, the child's name, the child's age, the grade applied for, a phone number, an email address, and any message you add.
  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, subject, and message.
  • Careers application: your name, the position applied for, years of experience, qualifications, phone number, email address, a cover letter, and the résumé file you attach.
  • Sharada chat: the questions you type. Nothing else about you is attached to them.
  • Notifications, only if you switch them on: an anonymous browser subscription token that lets us push school announcements to that device. It contains no name, phone number, or email address.

Why we collect it

For one reason: to reply to you. Admission and contact enquiries are answered by the school office; applications go to whoever is hiring. We do not use what you send for advertising, we do not build profiles, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

Children's information

An admission enquiry asks for a child's name and age. We ask for these only so the office can reply about the right grade and the right stage of admission, and we ask a parent or guardian — not the child — to provide them.

Please do not send us more about your child than the form asks for. If you would rather not type a child's name at all, write to the school directly using the phone number or email below and we will help without it.

Where your information goes

Form submissions are delivered to the school as an email. They are not saved into any database on this website.

  • Email delivery is handled by Resend, which transmits the message to the school's mailbox. If you gave an email address, you may also receive an acknowledgement from us.
  • This website is hosted by Vercel, whose servers necessarily process the request as it travels to us.
  • Chat questions are sent to Anthropic's Claude model through Vercel's AI Gateway to compose a reply. Conversations are not stored on our side, and they are not used to train the model.
  • Website content and, if you enable notifications, your anonymous notification token are stored with Sanity, our content system.

Cookies and measurement

We measure how the site is used so we can tell which pages actually help families — not to identify you.

  • Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits and see which pages are read. IP addresses are handled by Google in anonymised form.
  • Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights record page views and loading speed. They set no advertising cookies and do not follow you to other websites.
  • We run no advertising or social-media tracking pixels of any kind.
  • Your browser's settings let you block or delete these cookies. The site works normally without them.

Keeping spam out

Each form carries a hidden field that ordinary visitors never see, and we briefly check the network address a submission arrives from so that one source cannot flood the school with messages. That check happens in memory as the request is handled and is not written down or kept.

How long we keep it

Enquiry and application emails stay in the school's mailbox for as long as they are useful to the admission or hiring decision, and are then deleted. (Exact retention period: to be confirmed by the school.)

If you turn notifications off, or clear your browser's site data, the notification token for that device stops working and is removed.

Your rights

You may ask us what information about you we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You may withdraw consent for anything you have shared. Write to us using the details below and we will act on your request; if you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India.

Changes to this policy

If we change how information is handled, we will update this page. It carries the date it was last revised so you can see whether anything has moved since you last read it.

Talk to us

For any question about your information — including a request to see, correct, or delete it — reach the school office. Our designated contact for data protection queries is to be confirmed; until then the office will route your request.

You can also use the contact form.
